Session: Stem cells can simulate aspects of organ formation and human development. What are these stem cell derived models and do they conform to Jewish ethics? Is it ethical to mimic human development and can we produce a kosher cheese burger?
Bio: Josh Brickman is a developmental and molecular biologist. He leads a research group focused gene regulation in stem cells based in the Novo Nordisk Foundation for Stem Cell Medicine (reNEW) at Copenhagen Univesity. His group relocateed to Copenhagen from the University of Edinburgh 12 years ago.
